Professional Learning: Micro-credentials

A micro-credential is a short, competency-based recognition. NEA offers over 175 micro-credentials that have been created by educators for educators, while the Delaware Department of Education has focused micro-credentials in the areas of Early Literacy and World Languages.

Micro-credentials provide a pathway to personalizing and recognizing professional learning. They allow employers to verify the skills their employees demonstrate, regardless of where and how they learned them.
