I'm Mike Matthews and I’m running for reelection to the DSEA Executive Board because these uncertain times demand experienced, unapologetic leadership. I've fought shoulder-to-shoulder with educators across Delaware, and I’m seeking another term so I can continue defending the profession we love and the students we serve. Right now, public education is facing some of the most intense pressure we’ve ever seen—attacks on our profession, shortages that strain every classroom, shifting mandates, and escalating needs in our schools. We cannot afford to sit back. We must organize, mobilize, and stand united. I’m running because I believe in educators’ power to shape the future, and I refuse to let anyone diminish our voice. Together, we can push forward with clarity, courage, and purpose. This is our moment to fight for our colleagues, protect our students, and strengthen public education for generations to come.
