Candidate for Executive Board- NCC: Katrina Cowan

Voting will take place January 5th through January 20th.

My name is Katrina Cowan, and I'm running for the Delaware State Education Executive Board. For the past 10 years, I've proudly served in the Colonial School District seven years as a paraprofessional and three as a school counselor. These experiences give me a deep understanding of the challenges and value of every educator, inspiring my commitment to empower and advocate for all voices. I currently serve on the Delaware State Education Association Executive Board and as my school's building representative, while also holding multiple leadership roles. As a DSEA Wellness Facilitator, I champion educator mental health and well-being. During my time on the Executive Board, I helped advance Senate Bills 81 and 156 important steps toward supporting and retaining educators. My goal is to continue advocating for equity, mental health, and strong support for educators and students alike.
