Candidate for Executive Board- Kent: Chuck Welsh

Voting will take place January 5th through January 20th.

With 29 years of experience as a math educator and advanced work in math education and sports administration, I am committed to strengthening the voice of educators across Delaware. While teaching in Maryland I proudly served as Vice President for Queen Anne’s County teachers for six years, a building representative for four years, and an MSEA state delegate for six years. I have been an NEA member for 22 years and have attended multiple NEA and DSEA conferences to advocate for educators and students. Currently, I serve as President of SEA.

I am married to Christy, a business teacher of 24 years, and we have a son working in auto mechanics—public education is truly our family’s foundation. I always fight for staff equity and fairness. I believe all educators deserve to be heard, and I will represent not just my building or district, but all who serve our students.
