Our physical office spaces are closed; all DSEA staff have moved to remote work environments indefinitely. You can still contact staff at our regular office numbers (Dover: 734-5834, Newark: 366-8440, & Toll-Free 866-734-5834 ) and email addresses. Meet DSEA Aspiring Educator President, Leah Barnett!
Hello DSEA Aspiring Educators!
My name is Leah Barnett and I am currently serving as the DSEA Aspiring Educators President for the 2020-2021 school year. I am a senior at Wesley College, studying Elementary Education and Special Education. I am accompanied on the Executive Board by Vice President, Erianna Ford, of Delaware State University and President-Elect, Jordan Smallwood, of Wesley College. Last year I served on the Executive Board as President-Elect and spent my time practicing my leadership skills and learning from our former President, Homar Rodriguez. I also served as Chapter President to the Wesley College Aspiring Educators. I am well prepared and beyond excited to serve as your President this year. I hope to represent you well and help provide any guidance and support that I can during my tenure. While there are many uncertainties regarding how the upcoming year will go, one thing you can count on is myself and the rest of the DSEA AE Executive Board to do our part in helping you get through it. I hope to see you all at future virtual gatherings this semester. Be sure to renew your membership so that you will receive all the member benefits and be notified of when events are taking place. I wish you all the best of luck as we continue to work toward our ultimate goal of making a positive impact on the lives of our future students.
Please feel free to contact me anytime at Leah.Barnett@email.wesley.edu. Stay safe and have a great year!
