Help Smyrna educators fight for fair wages

Public school educators are standing together to demand the Smyrna School Board fairly compensate district employees.

Under a deal struck by the Smyrna School Board and local union leaders in 2024, educators in the Smyrna School District were supposed to receive modest pay raises each of the next two years contingent on a successful referendum. The deal also allowed them to renegotiate for smaller raises if the district failed to pass a referendum.

Just days before students were set to start the new school year, the Smyrna School Board made its only offer to the district’s 700 teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians and administrative assistants: 0% this year and 0% next year.

Smyrna educators are worth more than 0%!
