Fight Back Against Cuts to Local Education Funding

As we prepare to welcome 125,000 students back to school, our state lawmakers are planning to hold a one-day, special session on August 12 to consider legislation that would mitigate the harshest impacts of Delaware’s property reassessments in more than 40 years.

Shockingly, some lawmakers are using the opportunity to sneak in proposals that would decimate school funding for the coming year and force schools across Delaware to immediately cut academic programs and layoff educators.

Your help is needed to stop those bills in their tracks – and time is running out.

Our union supports the measures announced by House and Senate leadership to help fix reassessment. But we won’t stand by and allow legislators to harm our schools, our educators, and our students in the process.
