School Lunch Cooks and General Workers - State Salary Scale
2007-2008
2% increase plus step
The 2% increase is for full-time work, i.e. seven hours/day.
The increase will be prorated for hours worked less than seven.
The General Assembly does not fund cafeteria workers 100% of the state salary scale.
This year, the state
is increasing its funding of salaries from 62% to 64%The rest of food service employee pay is expected to come from cafeteria profits.
This coming year's 2% increase will be 100% funded by the state, so that districts
and their cafeterias will not have to fund any part of that increase.
School districts are required to use salary schedules not less
than the state scale shown here:
