If you would now like to request a visit from the Cat in the Hat, Thing One and Thing Two, just e-mail Susan Keller . Tell her you would like a visit during the week of Feb. 13, specifying which days are good for you; also specify time or times of day if that is a consideration; and what you would like the Cat to participate in, such as an Assembly or a visit to the library or some classrooms. Assemblies are very popular since you can have lots of students enjoy the visit. Normally, during such an assembly, someone from your school would read The Cat in the Hat, and then the Cat, Thing One and Thing Two would act it out. But the Cat can also help you kick off or celebrate the end of a Reading Challenge, for example. Would you like to borrow the Cat in the Hat Suit? Since DSEA staff time for this endeavor is limited, more and more of you are borrowing the suit(s). |
